Tributes Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt ready to share openly about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can finally put my grief into words," posted Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a different essay, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate placed a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of homicide, with a official listing noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the deaths, public personalities shared divergent comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive statements that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the critics recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "shocking" and implied they revealed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an associate should have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the death was made.
