Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer said in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.

This event does not mark the first time that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical fault.
